How to Revive a Dead Laptop Battery

The same freezer that holds your frozen pizzas and TV dinners can often bring seemingly-dead laptop batteries back to usable (though not quite like-new) condition.

Steps:

As it turns out, the overlap is missing, rotted away. The header pipe is missing about 4cm, and when trying to take the pipes of, they snapped off on top, while the brackets remained stuck. On the collector side another 4cm broke off as well, exactly where the header goes in. So much for fixing it, replacing is the only option now.

The beauty of women

Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc two years ago quit her job and started a new life. She took a backpack, camera and went to travel the world photographing hundreds of women in their natural environment. Thus was born her project «The Atlas Of Beauty», which has currently covered 37 countries.

“Today I can say with confidence that beauty is everywhere, and it does not depend on cosmetics nor the size of the garment. Beauty — is in the ability to be youself.” — says Mihaela

The SR-71 Blackbird

lockheed-sr-71-blackbird-27[1]

“There were a lot of things we couldn’t do in an SR-71, but we were the fastest guys on the block and loved reminding our fellow aviators of this fact. People often asked us if, because of this fact, it was fun to fly the jet. Fun would not be the first word I would use to describe flying this plane. Intense, maybe. Even cerebral. But there was one day in our Sled experience when we would have to say that it was pure fun to be the fastest guys out there, at least for a moment.

It occurred when Walt and I were flying our final training sortie. We needed 100 hours in the jet to complete our training and attain Mission Ready status. Somewhere over Colorado we had passed the century mark. We had made the turn in Arizona and the jet was performing flawlessly. My gauges were wired in the front seat and we were starting to feel pretty good about ourselves, not only because we would soon be flying real missions but because we had gained a great deal of confidence in the plane in the past ten months. Ripping across the barren deserts 80,000 feet below us, I could already see the coast of California from the Arizona border. I was, finally, after many humbling months of simulators and study, ahead of the jet.

Retrograde Mars

Explanation: Why would Mars appear to move backwards? Most of the time, the apparent motion of Mars in Earth’s sky is in one direction, slow but steady in front of the far distant stars. About every two years, however, the Earth passes Mars as they orbit around the Sun. During the most recent such pass starting late last year, Mars as usual, loomed large and bright. Also during this time, Mars appeared to move backwards in the sky, a phenomenon called retrograde motion. Featured here is a series of images digitally stacked so that all of the stars coincide. Here, Mars appears to trace out a narrow loop in the sky. At the center of the loop, Earth passed Mars and the retrograde motion was the highest. Retrograde motion can also be seen for other Solar System planets.

Lunar Cycle Calculations

If you’ve reached this page and still don’t get what the fuzz is about: – It takes the Moon ~27.5 days to go through all 64 Gates in the BodyGraph or Rave Mandala (Tropical month)

The Lunar Cycle lasts roughly, on average (!) 27.3 days, more easily referred to as 27.5 days, many Reflectors say 28.5 days, even if it is observed as short as 26.6 days as you can see on this page.

Never 29.5 days, since that is the Cycle of the Lunar Phases which is the observation from Earth of reflected Sunlight on the surface of the Moon (ie synodic month), which has no direct relation to the Moon’s actual position relative to the Earth and through the Rave Mandala.
