Being a mystic is a lifelong process of learning and deep contemplation which must not be taken as a game or very lightly. 1 Feel the presence of a guiding hand. Whether you think of yourself as a deeply spiritual person or not, a mystic is one who seeks to find order in the chaos and collect evidence of that order. If you’re the kind of person who sees every strange coincidence, every elegant metaphor, or every pretty rainbow as a sign of something greater, you might begin to feel the presence of a guiding hand in which you place your trust.[1] Religious mystics place their trust in a higher power, a powerful being that creates and controls the world and the people in it. Sometimes, as in the case of Zen Buddhism, religious mystics will also place their trust in a practice, that asceticism and meditation are the truest way to understand the world. Mystics aren’t always religious, though they often are. The writing of quantum physicists and Jungian psychologists often borders on the mystical, the deeper it gets. Whatever system, being, or practice you’ve found in which to place your trust, place it there.

Space Shuttle Rising

Explanation: What’s that rising from the clouds? The space shuttle. Sometimes, if you looked out the window of an airplane at just the right place and time, you could have seen something very unusual — a space shuttle launching to orbit. Images of the rising shuttle and its plume became widely circulated over the web shortly after Endeavour’s final launch in 2011 May. The above image was taken from a shuttle training aircraft by NASA and is not copyrighted. Taken well above the clouds, the image can be matched with similar images of the same shuttle plume taken below the clouds. Hot glowing gasses expelled by the engines are visible near the rising shuttle, as well as a long smoke plume. A shadow of the plume appears on the cloud deck, indicating the direction of the Sun. The US Space Shuttle program concluded in 2011, and Endeavour can now be visited at the California Science Center.

Ad of the Day: Adult Retailer Makes Probably the Craziest X-Rated Ad Yet (NSFW) Director Rankin’s best work ever? By Tim Nudd

Sex sells, particularly when you’re selling lingerie and sex toys. And now, two of Britain’s top creatives have teamed up to make one of the most extravagant erotic brand films ever—a frenetic two-and-a-half-minute film for London adult retailer Coco de Mer. TBWA\London’s Walter Campbell and renowned photographer/director Rankin provided the creative vision for the film, which packs in a huge number of sexual images and vignettes, along with some other odd imagery. It’s basically an art film with the Coco de Mer logo thrown on the end. But Campbell and Rankin are immensely proud of the spot, which will run online and in cinemas.

Rankin, whose résumé includes a ton of top-notch fashion films, tells Campaign that the ad is “definitely the best thing that I have done in film. … It has layers of meaning, and to get that in advertising is rare.” He adds: “Doing something like this is about creating an experience. We’re putting it on a different level. Putting it on a level with enjoying a film. People call it content marketing, but it’s just about making something people want to watch.” Campbell said: “The erotic doesn’t get the same overt attention as everything else on the cultural menu, so we created a film to surprise, excite and most importantly, encourage people to delve that little bit deeper into their fantasies—to reignite that connection.” Several other directors also worked on the film, including Vicky Lawton, Trisha Ward and David Allain. The production company was Rankin Film. Postproduction was done by MPC.

I have enjoyed and loved the GeneKeys, and the many people I met through it, and both the book as well as the Golden Path sequencing are a treasure to be had for many seekers of being yourself. Those who seek to understand themselves, and the GeneKeys as I met them provides a view to look at ourselves quite beyond any other. Giving clues to some of our own personal behaviour, our mental hooks and triggers, as well as some of our behaviour in groups or society at large. The individual and the Collective.

But something has been nagging me for a little while now, and I’ve noticed it before when Richard was still in Human Design too, which is that some things are his personal journey, and they are 100% valid in his personal journey, I can not possibly say otherwise. Well yes, I could say it, but it would not be more or less true if I would. But what is nagging is that some of this personal journey is being sold, and I mean this in both a show and tell kind of ego presentation as well as actually exchanging information for monies, sold as if it were transferable and applicable to all people.

I’ve started noticing it in his ‘Seven Years On the Wheel of Passage’, which still today is being gifted as a free Human Design tool. A tool thus that one could use for their own process, their own journey, by calling it a formula. But what many people fail to recognize, whether in Human Design or in the GeneKeys, this is -his- formula, you are being distracted from finding your own by following his formula, or anyone’s formula ! Because listen carefully: there is no one formula. There is not even a formula for -you-. There is nothing to repeat, or do similarly, not even for him, or for me.
