fyi: Variable info in MMI is potentially off… if not more

“the chart discrepancy will be related to our recent Time Zone Database switch, as our chart services recently switched from the ACS Atlas to tzdb. We rely on time zone databases for all time zone boundaries, UTC offsets, and annual information on daylight saving times and dates used to calculate all charts. We used ACS Atlas timezone data for many years but eventually discovered that much of their post-1970 timezone data was not as accurate as we’d hoped. Therefore, we made the change to tzdb which allows the community to suggest edits and which was more accurate than ACS Atlas. Our only goal is to ensure that any chart created using our chart calculator services will use the most accurate timezone data possible, generating the most reliable chart. Regrettably, this comes with rare instances of chart changes.

Time Zone Database (“tzdb”) by IANA is an open-source project, which means anybody can contribute, and individuals have the option to correct mistakes or omissions. All new charts created at MaiaMechanics.com, Jovian Archive, or myBodyGraph use the tzdb for time zone conversion.

All the charts generated using any of our chart calculators (myBodyGraph, Maia Mechanics, Get Your Chart) as well as the IHDS’, will generate the most up-to-date chart using the new timezone database. The only software still waiting to have the timezone database updated is our desktop MMI Software, which will receive the update shortly.” -Customer Support, Jovian Archive Media

They seem to have the exact time zone archives. Then find the location and the year. It gives the exact UTC time. Then make a chart in any software with UTC time.

Notice regarding the Source of Time Data and Human Design Chart Calculations | February 20, 2023

Time data refers to the conversion from local time in a particular place—taking into account timezone and Daylight Saving Time (DST)—to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), which is required to calculate a Human Design Chart. There are approximately 200,000 birth locations worldwide, each of which may be determined geographically or politically—by country, state, county, or town depending on the year.

Concern has recently been expressed about time data in chart calculations. The issue stems from a difference in data provided by official sources, and with this notice we hope to clarify the situation.

MMI for Windows was released in 2004, and has since relied upon the ACS Atlas by Alabe for time data. The ACS Atlas was the most reputable source of time data available at the time, and to this day is used by numerous astrological applications. And while ACS Atlas data is for the most part reliable, based on user feedback and our own investigations, it unfortunately does have its flaws. Most importantly, it is not maintained to a level of degree that provides us with enough confidence for the future.

During the development of our online application, MaiaMechanics.com, we decided to implement the Time Zone Database (TZ) by IANA. TZ is an open source database which is constantly reviewed and updated. We are now confident that TZ data is 100% reliable for birth data calculation since 1970, while pre 1970’s data has only a 1% chance of a faulty result, which we will continue to monitor and refine. For this reason, TZ is the best solution moving forward.

As our focus was on the development of the online application—and on verifying that we were satisfied with TZ data—we did not manage to streamline the shift from ACS Atlas to TZ across all applications simultaneously. We apologize for any troubles this may have caused. Moving forward, MMI for Windows will receive an update to implement TZ, but will be phased out by the end of the year as we focus on continuing development of MaiaMechanics.com. The online application is about to be available in 8 languages and will include a BG5 edition later this month, while DreamRave and the classic BodyGraph will be implemented later this year.

In the meantime:
• Anyone can verify general chart properties and time data using MaiaMechanics.com’s free calculator (find time data from within Properties > Birth Data) or by creating a free account at myBodyGraph.com.
• Until MMI has been converted to TZ, users of MMAI (Advanced Imaging for MMI) are eligible for free access to the Advanced plan of MaiaMechanics.com which allows the creation of Advanced Imaging charts using TZ data. “Use Design Birth Data for Astrocartography. There is, obviously, something deeply important in that, but I think it’s very specific to people who have undefined G Centers. I think it’s very difficult for undefined G Centers, particularly non-energy types, to figure out how to find out what is the right place for them. The Astrocartography that was developed in Switzerland is fascinating. One of the things that I’ve recommended to people is that the problem with Astrocartography is that it’s based on the Personality. If you really want to find out where your body is really aligned, send them your Design data as if that was your birth chart, just your design date and time. Then you will actually get your Astrocartography for your physical vehicle and that is much more significant.

Everything about the nature of success in this life has to do with the physical form and the way in which the physical form fits into its environment. But to answer the other part of your question, which is important, the thing about triple-splits is that it’s not about whether or not they’re in the right place. Again, that would be conditioned whether they have an open G or not. The real thing for them is simply this journey process that is just very mundane. It can be very difficult, for example, to be a 2/4 and be a triple-split because it is important for them to get out, it is important for them to move around, it is important for them to journey.

It is this movement that’s so essential for them. These are the kind of people who will do repetitive sports, will go to places to do activities, all this kind of stuff in order to just go through the journey because the journey is the way in which they live their version of wholeness. It’s also through the journey, because it has to do with the auras that they meet. This is the whole thing about the right geometry. If you’re not in the right geometry, you don’t meet the right auras so you don’t meet the right configurations that are essential for the triple-split in its journey.

Again, it goes back to whether they’re going to operate correctly. But your point is well taken about location. I just think to see it from the perspective of the design and to see that’s something just about every open G Center is asking for, somebody to help them find the right place.”

You have to go into the cosmic level

When you‘re looking at somebody‘s bodygraph, one way of trying to understand it is imagine that that bodygraph is only a cell in a larger organism. That‘s the first thing. Just as a metaphor. If you imagine that that bodygraph is a cell in a larger organism, it‘s going to at least take you away from the vanity of its importance, uniqueness, specialness. It‘s just a cell.

At the core of that cell, you‘re going to have all of the DNA information for every single aspect of that being. In other words, we can take a cell now and you can go in and grab the DNA and you can take the cell from anywhere and that cell is going to contain the information of the totality. If you look at the cell as a bodygraph, you see the bodygraph contains the information of the totality. In other words, it carries the entire spectrum of all 64 gates. So the bodygraph is a cell and you can see inside of the cell that there is a genetic information pool that outlines the totality.

Now, what happens to us is that we have a surface imprinting program. In other words, you have liver cells, you have blood cells, and you have this kind of cell, that kind of cell. But if you go into the center, they all have the same information. The only difference is that each of those cells has a place where there is a special imprinting, where something is highlighted. And instead of them being occupied with being everything: “growing up to be a human”; they‘re occupied with being a good blood cell.

So, when we take a calculation and you have the planets and so forth, what you‘re really looking at is our imprinting. It‘s the highlighting. We do, after all, have everything. You cannot go through this life with 64 gates and not experience everything. We do, all the time. This room is 64 gates. And if it‘s not with the transit included, it will be the moment we go outside; all of these things. It‘s always there. Every aspect is always there because this is life.

The difference between us is Human Design measures uniqueness. The easiest thing with human beings is to see our similarity. The easiest thing; and I‘m speaking from a biological genetic level. It‘s very, very hard genetically to differentiate one human being from another in terms of where the information actually is that makes a difference in us. After all, a fruit fly has 70% of our genetic information.

So, the question of analysis is not about similarity, it‘s about uniqueness. What we see from the imprinting is that as a cell what are the things that are important for us to accomplish as a cell; that‘s our imprinting. And of course, when you‘re living out your uniqueness, that is, you‘re following your Strategy, what you get to do is fulfill that. In other words, you become a good blood cell that does a really good job, instead of a blood cell that may become a problem and infect others and so forth and so on, and on and on and all those illustrations…

So, one of the things we‘re seeing in the mapping is that we‘re looking at a bodygraph that‘s just showing us our uniqueness imprinting, and when we go down to the Sun/Earth configuration, we‘re showing 70% of that uniqueness imprinting. In other words, the major themes of our imprinting; but, when we go out to the 64 hexagram wheel, we‘re going back to similarity. Genetically the First Imprint is General and Similar We‘re actually stepping into another place.

The similarity derives from the first imprint, if I can speak that way genetically of our cell. The first imprint is general and similar. We work from general and similar to becoming unique. This is the mutative process that operates out of the similar and general and eventually leads to diversity and uniqueness.

So, if you really want to understand us, the first thing to recognize is that you have to get rid of the uniqueness of us, which is the bodygraph level, and you have to go into the cosmic level. You have to go into the larger, spiritual domain of wholeness, and see that we don‘t begin with a connection to the one. In that sense, it‘s always there because the bodygraph carries the complete matrix.” -Ra Uru Hu

Analog Man Prince of Tone overdrive

Description

The POT is pretty much the same as half of the King of Tone, with an external MODE switch standard. It is the same as the KOT with HIGHER GAIN option, so you can use the full range of the DRIVE knob and it has a little more drive at the top than a normal gain KOT. The DISTORTION mode is improved though, for a louder, stronger distortion sound. See http://www.kingoftone.com for more info.

Power Jack is standard on the POT –

The TREBLE trimpot is inside, just like the KOT.

There are also two new DIP switches inside! They are a bit subtle at some knob settings and modes:

DIP1 : LO-MID lift switch. The tone from your lower strings will be enhanced a little when DIP switch is ON.

DIP2: TURBO switch- with higher gain settings you’ll hear deeper compression, especially in DIST mode. You will hear a brighter, crunchier sound with this on at higher DRIVE settings when this DIP switch is ON.

The three modes, as on the KOT, are:

1) Normal Overdrive mode (OD mode): This is the standard King Of Tone sound, – a touch drive available than a tube screamer. Can get much louder than a tube screamer. The RED side of KOT has this setting from the factory.

2) CLEAN mode : This mode has less distortion, it can be used for clean boosts or clearer, louder sounds. It’s sort of a cross between a true clean boost and an overdrive. CLEAN MODE is even less compressed and louder than the OD mode. I love this mode with high drive settings too! The YELLOW side of KOT has this setting from the factory.

3) DISTORTION mode : more drive than the standard mode- a touch of hard distortion. The sound is more compressed, yet retains the pedal’s character. Same volume as OD mode.

At low DRIVE settings, or when playing softly, there is not much difference between the three modes, they all can get pretty clean and have the same level at low drive settings. The ability to clean up when playing softly is a very useful feature of this pedal. The Drive knob works like the KOT with HIGHER GAIN OPTION, so you can set it anywhere and get great tones.

The DRIVE knob taper is different than the KOT. It comes up faster and more linear, while KOT has a lot going on from 2:00 to max. So comparison to a KOT with HG option will not be the same at the same knob position unless it’s up all the way, where they are the same.

We are making these by hand in China by the same people who are making our Analog Delay. Though it’s made in China, we use the same parts as the King of Tone – best Japanese chip and capacitors, not cheap Chinese parts. No surface mount parts, NO ROBOTS, everything is vintage style and hand wired for easy maintenance and repairs unlike most Chinese pedals and most USA “boutique” machine-made pedals which are disposable if they have any problems like a pot, jack, or switch that wears out.

POWER SUPPLY: A Standard Boss PSA120 type 9V DC adapter will work fine. Center is negative. The pedal uses only about 6mA of current at 9V. You can get a fuzzier sound if you want, at lower voltages, for example the SAG mode on the pedalpower2. When your battery dies you will notice the pedal will not get nice and clean, the sound will be hairier. Use a good Alkaline battery or a power supply for best results. You can use higher voltage for more headroom, 12V is common, 18V is safe too. Clean boost may be improved the most with higher voltage.

CHIPS: You can also try other standard dual op-amp chips in the Prince of Tone. Just make sure you put it in the right way, with the pin#1 dot on the side with the chip socket cut-out. The TS-808’s JRC4558D chip sounds good in this pedal, especially with single coil guitars and smaller Fender type amps. You can try a high fidelity chip for the CLEAN mode which may work well.

Size
We made our own case for this pedal, it’s lower and a little shorter than our Beano Boost / Orange Squeezer / large SunFace box, and a little bigger than the Astrotone / Peppermint / small Sunface size.
Size is 2.5″ wide x 4.5″ long x 1.5″ tall, not including switch/knobs/jacks.

Buffer option
If you run through some long cables to your amp, or through some tone sucking pedals (volume pedals, etc) you might want to add the optional buffer inside the POT. If you run the POT into a pedal with a good buffer like our ARDX20, then it’s not needed at all. There is no room for a battery with the Buffer option. The buffer will work great at higher voltages like 12V or 18V also. See our BUFFER page for more info.

Just because we don’t have -consistent access to- the Solar Plexus, does not mean we do not have emotions of our own, ever, at all.

This is one of those things that get said in HD that really go too far, are being taken literal, for having been an analogy.

If and when being in aura with someone else, there is the -potential- to take in and amplify theirs, but it is not singularly true, all the time. You can sit with them, they get emotionally triggered, and you not. The Natural and Healthy State of the Undefined Solar Plexus is: emotionally quiet. And this can happen perfectly fine in aura with others.

Never your own thoughts, what a lot of bullcrap is that man. I live and spend so much time alone that I can tell when it is yours or mine. And much of the bullshit I think, is truly mine… well ok, it’s my minds.

Such a notion pretends there is no true self behaviour in undefined centers.

Single, dual, or triple screw Z?

Single, dual or triple screw Z?
(Part 1)

You will probably notice that most high-end commercial printers use either single or dual lead screws (or ball screws) but seldom 3.

Single screw Z pros

With just a single Z screw there is the least chance of mechanical quarrel. Mechanical quarrel is when two mechanical forces oppose each other and in kinematic systems it usually leads to increased friction or binding if the systems don’t have some compliancy built in.

With a single linear motion system there is only one linear path that the bed should move in. Normally two large diameter heavy duty *smooth rods or a single very wide linear rail are used to create the vertical linear motion system. If two smooth rods are used a single piece bed arm (or cradle) bridges both smooth rods and the screw lifts in the centre of this arm.

A single piece non moving bridge is located at the bottom and often another is place at the top, providing a very rigid mounting structure for the smooth rods capable of overriding any lateral forces a bent lead screw might impart to the bed arm. The lead screw will typically be loosely constrained at one end.

This setup provides a precision of movement and helps produce high quality prints.

There is almost no chance of lead/ball screw induced artifacts.

Nice open access to the bed without obstruction from multiple linear motion systems.

Very simple system.

*In some rare instances two widely spaced linear rails may be used but dual linear rails abut to prevent binding dual linar rails need to be aligned in multiple planes. This normally requires a finely machined surface for both rails to sit on (expensive) or some compliancy need needs to be built in (sub optimal).

Single screw Z cons

Can’t do automatic bed levelling. Bed levelling must be manual.

As the bed is always cantilevered and there is only one bed arm. This bed arm must be sturdy. This generally necessitates it being machined from metal (expensive).

The vertical linear motion system is normally bespoke and the bed arm and supporting structures (for twin smooth rods) are machined from billet for rigidity and accuracy….and hence consequently expensive.

Heavy duty linear bearings are required as they need to cope with the angular loads of the cantilevered bed. All else being equal these bearings also need to be longer for this reason than bearings used on dual or triple screw Z motion systems.

As the bed is only supported on one side it must be thick enough not to flex…which makes in expensive and heavy.

Z movement speed is usually limited to stop the bed ‘flapping’. If you are using Z hop when printing to stop the nozzle dragging across the just printed layer this will increase print times more than you might initially expect.

Bed depth is normally limited, and it is common that the beds will be much wider than they are deep.

As only one screw is doing the lifting it needs to be heavier duty than a two or three screw system and is hence often a ball screw. Ball screws are more expensive than leadscrews.

Summary

A single screw Z motion system with a cantilevered bed is the simplest solution and works great for small bed sizes.

However, to do a cantilevered bed properly you need expensive components and typically a custom machine bed arm, but the reward is a precision motion system without mechanical quarrel or screw induced artifacts in the prints.

Single Z screw cantilevered bed systems are currently the most popular of the designs used in small format commercial printers.

Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Nothing. You’re in charge of nothing. Nothing.

“I’ve spent years trying to teach people all the nuances, all the basics and all of that. That time for me is over. It’s difficult for me to even to find intention span to talk about the profundity of human design. I’m fortunate now to have allies who seem to love to do that, and that’s terrific. They can talk about all the nuances of this and that and the other thing.. I had to do that, because it’s my responsibility to this knowledge, that every aspect of human design and of it’s basic formulas are revealed. What I care about is that people get the simple.

Only the simple. Only the simple. See, it’s such a magical thing to have come to recognise Type. It is the most magical thing that is ever ever happened on this planet. There has never been anything like it, ever. We have never been given such a key, ever. We have never had a chance, all of us, to be awake, and being awake and don’t have it as a trip. Without it being a specialised elitist crap Manifestor propaganda. We have a chance simply to be awake. And the moment that I deal with people in my life, the students in my life, whenever I deal with their intelligence, I deal with their questions, and I deal with their searching, I always wanna pull them right back into that surface. Come back here, to the surface. Yes, I know, you know human design, but you’re not living it. And you know it. It’s nice to know it, sure. Sure, it’s nice. It’s nice to know lots of things.

This isn’t about knowing, this isn’t about power trip of knowing. Knowing and knowledge – these things have no power. This is mythology, I have no power. If you live out your design, if you live out your vehicle, if you live out your strategy, – you get to see that you are helpless. It’s wonderful to be helpless. You get to see that you truly are incompetent. You are. Be proud of it. You know? Wear it on your back – “I am incompetent!”. Cause you are. It’s the holiest thing you can shout.

We’re not in charge. We’re not in control. The deeper I go into this knowledge, the further and further I go from any even tiny tiny idea, that I’m in charge of anything. Nothing, nothing. Not what I say, not what I think, not what I do, not what I am, not how long I live.. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Nothing. You’re in charge of nothing. Nothing. Accept it. Give up. Stop thinking you’re in charge. You’re not. Nothing. You’re not in charge of how you breathe, where you shit, nothing. Teachers have told you that for ever. Everybody listens, nods, saying: “Yes, master”. It’s true. And then they walk away into their lives and they’re unhappy. And they’re unfulfilled. And they get sick. And they spend their life batching and moaning and complaining.

It’s so simple, but it means you have to give up your vanity. And if you will give up your vanity and you’ll just allow your vehicle to operate, you’ll see – there’s nothing to be afraid of. Nothing. You don’t have to worry about tomorrow. Today you’ll do. Everything is there for you. It truly is. See, people think, that’s a dream. It’s not. It’s right here now all the time. All the time. And all you have to do is follow a simple mechanical thing, nothing else. You’re a manifestor, – you inform. You’re a generator, – you respond. You’re projector and you wait for invitation. You’re a reflector and you wait for the cycle of the moon. There is not anything else. See, that’s what I love about knowledge. In my life I met many many people who are bright. And then we went to speak and I realised – they don’t know anything. Because, you see, you can’t understand them when they’re talking to you. It’s not simple. There’s lots of people who think that they know something, and you ask them, and they can not explain it to you, cause it’s not simple. Life is the most simplest thing of all. It is a binary, moving in space. It’s just two. And out of that two – is everything.

The formula is so simple. Truth is simple. That’s why I give you profiles and numbers – simple. There is, after all, only four types. I mean, it’s not about you have to figure out eight zillion strategies so you fit in. It’s not like the rules of your type require you to follow a huge fucking list of things that you have to do. It’s not like being in a rocketship. It’s just a little thing. And you see, that it works, cause it’s true. And it’s not what I say. It’s what I know. It’s what’s science has verifyied. It’s what people that have experimented with living their strategy are verifying, that it’s true. It works. And then this poor passenger can sit in the back in the limo and enjoy the ride.

Oh, there’s a lot to see… There’s a lot to see when the windows are clean. There’s a lot to see, when you stop screaming at the driver to turn left or right. When you’re not just in there screaming. There is so much to see. So forget about all this stuff. Really. Forget it. Just try it out. Live it out.

If you can not live your design, if you can not live your strategy, do me a favour, stop involving yourself in my life… Cause you know better, you do. I don’t have to see you. I’ve gone through this for 13 years, I keep on seeing people. I’m waiting and watching, waiting and watching… I run on the hill up there in ibiza and stare at the sheep. Just do it. And you’ll see for yourself. And then you can tell somebody else that it’s real. And then you can give them the greatest thing that any human can give another. You can liberate them. You can set them free. You can open up the door to “what it is to be” for them. You’ll give them the same thing you’ve lived by – you give them their strategy and let them go. Don’t tell them where it came from. Don’t tell them about me. Don’t complicate your life more than it was.
